Screwed-up TV News Reporting
I noticed a number of incidents of flawed or screwed-up reporting on the TV news shows lately. Below are two stupid reporting examples from today's NBC News Today Show. At 7:15 am Dec 31 Andrea Canning reported about the viral video of the man who fell through the thin ice that a dozen good-samaritans went in the water to help rescue the man. But the truth is they did not voluntarily go in the water as she indicated since they also FELL into the icy water. She did not know the story. Odd she did not know the true story and ...
Hart to Hart by Frank Schilling
I’ve been watching lots of 1970’s TV lately. My kids really dig those easy-to-follow storylines and I love the trip down memory lane. What’s most interesting from a grown-up’s perspective is how the value of money has changed over the passage of time. A million used to be a big number in the days when Jonathan Hart flew his Gulfstream II to play poker with oil sheiks and generals. $25,000 a year was a salary that put you in the top 10%. Mr. Hart had earned his lifestyle by becoming an industrialist and self-made “millionaire” Yesterday’s million has given way ...

Death Threats via a DDOS Attack
Hi all, Some of you may or may not be aware that for the last 10 days my blog, Whizzbangsblog.com, has been down due to a consistent DDOS attack. The reason for the attack was directly due to my articles on people that are committing fraud in the domain industry by pumping bad traffic through domains, purchasing parking accounts and stealing good domain owner’s identities. This behaviour is rampant and is costing us all millions of dollars. Initially the fraudsters struck at my blog and then moved the DDOS to my company (which is OK BTW), to michaelgilmour.com and ...
Nobody on The Road… Nobody on The Beach…
Written by Frank Schilling There is something about the end of summer that feels so very similar every year. The end of summer, of fun and frivolity always comes at the same time and echoes, like the lyrics from a Don Henley song. Aptly named “Labor Day” is like a starter’s pistol at a collective social race that has been programmed to begin through years of grade-school, college and university. Everyone around the world does it. Fighting the urge to be productive in September is like swimming against an unstoppable tide of human behavior. A different more fearful tide of behavior continues ...
Low Price .US Domains are Getting Flipped a Lot
Over a year ago we decided to let expire more than 50 mostly bad or dubious value letter dot-us names that we had been holding since as long as the year 2002 when most of them were acquired. We dropped them due to no traffic or income, plus poor acronym use potential. It has been quite interesting watching the majority if not all of that group sold, resold, resold, resold and sold again on the domain name forums between domainers. The sale prices are mostly between say $5 to $20. What makes it even more interesting is what with the low prices ...
Traffic/Revenue Doesn’t Matter in High Value Sales
A question we have always wondered about is why at Flippa.com it seems buyers place great value on website traffic and revenue stats, with little if any intrinsic value for the domain-name itself? However, with the just announced big sale by Rick Schwartz (DomainKing) for 4 million dollars plus stock for the two domains property.com and properties.com, their traffic and income was in all likelihood not a factor in the sale. In fact, that issue was probably not even discussed, let alone a real consideration with the offer and purchase. Obviously, properties.com and property.com traffic/income was insignificant vs the very high ...
20k visits but revenue so low can’t buy a Starbucks!
Since the start of the major decline in parking page revenue over the past 4 years or so there have been several examples of poor performance from some major players. However, the current performance of a relatively obscure provider with a big company behind them is almost impossible to believe the stats could be true! For example, look at the stats in the screenshot below, keeping in mind the incredibly bad stats are coming from several high quality websites, with more than 70% direct navigation (typeins), from mostly US traffic. The traffic was from ads placed on several high value websites, ...
Sometimes Surprisingly Poor Results from Tweets
Based on my own Tweeting I have discovered we usually get from 5 to 15 visits going to the link in my Tweets, within 15-minutes of the Tweet time, based on having just a little over 1,000 followers. However, sometimes after 15-min of third-party Tweets (who link to my site) from websites who have far more followers (ranging from about 5,000 all the way to 35,000), there are only 5 or 6 real visitors to the linked site. That compares extremely poorly vs my own Tweets which typically have approximately double the visits to the link, but coming from far ...
Yahoo: All .US Country Code Names Poor Quality!
A very interesting subject on the-web is that ALL .US extension domains are banned by the Yahoo feed under the title of Quality Block. Several pay-per-click parking firms who use the Yahoo PPC feed have confirmed that to be correct, and said yes, Yahoo thinks every single .us domain must be poor quality and thus are banned. Isn't that an incredible wide-ranging assumption to make! It's been an issue for at least 2 or 3 years from what we understand. It appears both Yahoo and some of the parking firms who have been given our .us domains to monetize using the ...
What is the SEO Value of No Anchor Text in Links?
This is regarding anchor text in a link and is also applicable to websites which sell links. Of course, website owners and html programmers realize the importance of having "anchor text" in a link which appears on the page before the closing tag but the issue is regarding the effect of "not" using any visible anchor text. For example, on many blogs and websites there are often images which are clickable and go to a linked site since the clickable-link is in the code. sell links - However, the image is often there mostly for its graphical impact and also ...
Property.com/Properties.com vs Buying a New TLD
Breaking News: Rick Schwartz sells Property.com & Properties.com for $4 million plus stock. Of course, congrats to Rick on his latest amazing domain sales. That great domain name sale got me seriously thinking about something I have been dwelling on for a long time, which is the potential impact of the new gtlds, which will be coming online as soon as 2012. What I mean by that is that since the .property and .properties tld extensions can be purchased for $185,000 each (plus other fees and expenses) it makes the 185k cost look like a great bargain (at least to me), ...
Does Domain Development Help Domain Value?
Assuming a minisite page and ad content is targeted to the domain keywords I don’t believe a minisite will be an overall negative. With that said, a site will also likely not increase the domain value. However, a benefit to the minisite is your domain can slowly grow its traffic thanks to SEO work but a parked page will not. As far as domain revenue goes, a parked page should perform better but that assumes the domain get the same traffic numbers and the parked page also gets organic and typein traffic. If not, site development is much better. As a ...

Major Dilution to Existing .tld extensions i.e. .net
We have been writing for some time about the massive dilution to the current major domain name extensions which will be caused by the anticipated vast number of new gtld's expected to be introduced starting in 2012. As an example of dilution, we will discuss the long-time well known dot-net extension. It's always played 2nd fiddle to the vastly superior dot-com however .net will soon have lots of competitors competing with it and causing general overall dilution to all extensions and to dot-net in particular. The initial high Icann cost of $185k to buy your own extension will no doubt result in ...
Major Bear Market Expected for Geo Domains
Starting next year unlimited numbers of new domain extensions are scheduled to be sold and some will be up and running. We always assumed major brands such as .sears .apple .microsoft .hp .godaddy .ibm and many others would want to own their own extension, not necessarily to sell domains but for their own product, use and branding. Now I am hearing many reports about large U.S. and international cities including the cities of .tokyo .sydney .london .newyork .sandiego .la .vegas and others planning to also buy their very domain extension. At an initial cost of $185k it may seem high to ...
Good News! FTC Launches Investigation of Google
IT'S ABOUT TIME! The Federal Trade Commission is preparing to serve Google with legal subpoenas, starting a major antitrust investigation of Google. The U.S. FTC will be investigating if Google has abused its dominating market position to suppress competition. The new FTC investigation of Google is likely setting off serious alarm bells at Google due to its wide-ranging potential and scope. This new investigation of Google involves their two key revenue areas of search and advertising. Other internet players have been complaining for years how Google’s search algorithm appears to be designed to drive web-surfers more to Google’s own services than their websites. A ...
Massive Dilution caused by New Domain Extensions
We have been saying for years (starting when the new extension plan was first announced a long time ago) the new domain-name extensions will bring about massive dilution in the name space and overall negativity to the value of the current major domain extensions. In a few years the cost of buying your own extension could easily decline significantly belowr the current high cost of almost 200k, possibly all the way down to the 3 figure range where most individuals and small businesses could also afford to buy their own domain extension. A huge benefit to owning your own domain name ...
RunningShoes.com: from $150 to 700k in 5 yrs
DNjournal.com reports that RunningShoes.com sold for $700,000 making it the year's biggest sale. To add to the news reported by Ron Jackson, this blog can report the domain name sold for a measly $150 in 2005. Isn't that amazing! From low 3 figures to high 6 figures!
How is Local News Related to Your Success?
Watching the local news, that's a great use of your time, presented in a one hundred percent problem format. No one watching the news cares your sale numbers are up, or that Wendy got a promotion, or that Jordan got straight A's on his report card. Good news does not sell; therefore it's omitted. Rather, what you get is distorted, negative information about two or three percent of the people affecting those who view it in the worst way. If you watch an hour a day of problems, everyday for years, you become problem oriented. Do you think local news adds ...
Is it a Good Idea to Use WordPress vs HTML?
Personally. I much prefer standard html sites vs Wordpress sites. However, with that said, I must say a well designed WP site certainly can look great and be successful. Blogs and forums in particular do extremely well using Wordpress where richness of features and live user interactivity are highly desired features, but with that said, I still like HTML vs Woprdpress by far for making "regular" (non-blog non-forum) new sites. After working for years with regular html before using Wordpress at first I found the Wordpress learning curve to be huge and taking vast amounts of time. One of the toughest ...
Some Domain Industry Players are Not Doing Well
Well known and veteran domainer Sahar Sarid's Conceptualist.com website looks like it's gone. The Conceptualist.com website owned by "Sahar Sarid" for a long tme recently became a simple DomainSponsor.com parking page but as of today it no longer resolves at all. That's not too surprising overall since there seems to be a somewhat significant down-sizing or shakeout taking place in the industry. Various industry firms, forums, domain meeting venues, auctions and individual domainers have left the business, are not doing well, or have domain-name related websites which are less successful and active vs a few years ago. It's probably mostly the ...
A Recently Discovered Quality Domaining Site
Just finished listening to the new DomainSherpa.com interview with well-known domainer Justin Godfrey. Just in case you are not familiar with DomainSherpa.com it's a relatively new site operated by Michael Cyger. I have spoken to Michael and listened to his informative and educational series of interviews. By the way, Michael has excellent interviewing skills. His interviews also benefit nicely from their length since they are 1-hour or longer which time allows Michael and his guest to cover a lot of information in that time (compared to much shorter Youtube videos). It's also quite interesting how the video interviews are of ...
Kids Are Searching for Surprising Things
Kids search for surprising things online. A report from Symantec and its Norton OnlineFamily service, which allows parents to monitor and manage their kids' online activities, including Internet searches. The Norton service tracks and reports the children's Internet activities in real-time so parents can learn about online-content their kids should not be reading or seeing on the-web. Here are the top-10 search-terms from kids over a recent 6-month period: P.S. No, search-terms 4, 6, 28 and 89 are not April Fool's jokes as you may be thinking! 1. YouTube 2. Google 3. Facebook 4. Many Websurfers & Users Are Not Internet Savvy
An actual example of how many people are not very internet savvy occurred a few days ago when I asked someone (in-person) to go to a website named Example-Example.com but she typed-in ExampleHyphenExample.com and then announced the website did not work. Quite surprisingly, she actually spelled and typed the word hyphen instead of using a (-) dash character. Even after I explained that a 'hyphen' was a 'dash' she seemed a bit confused and still did not understand it. At another time and involving a different person (on phone) I used the word 'dash' meaning Example-Example.com but he typed ...
Google’s Valentine Day Domain Names
As posted about on DomainNameWire.com, Google has registered the domains GoogleValentine.com and GoogleValentine.org on Feb 8, 2011. Since only the .com and .org were mentioned we checked Whois and see they also registered GoogleValentine.net at the same time, in addition to some other Valentine's Day domains Google registered. Since Valentine's Day is only 4 days away we don't see how there could be sufficient time this year (but if not this year, maybe next year?) for Google to get geared-up in time to actually use the domains as some kind of Valentine's Day promotion, i.e. maybe you will be able to ...
Overstock.com is rebranding itself as O.CO
Found this on the Overstock.com website this morning. It's also Super Bowl Sunday, so perhaps not just a coincidence since the .CO extension domain names will be strongly marketed in today's Super Bowl commercials, making Overstock.com's announcement real good timing in that regard. "Shopping at Overstock.com internationally is about to get easier with the O.co domain. Since the company acquired the O.co domain name in July 2010, Overstock.com has been simpler to access by mobile Internet users. Now, to minimize confusion and hassle while translating the word "Overstock" into other languages, Overstock.com is rebranding internationally and will be known as ...
Will GoDaddy’s Super Bowl Ad be a Success?
Godaddy is spending a ton of money on their Super Bowl ad and other heavy .CO marketing but will it make the .CO extension (.CO is actually the South America Nation of Columbia country code) an Internet success? In our opinion, it's already apparent .CO will be a flop as far as long-term value goes, and actual use. There are very few .CO developed sites and it has a poor resale market, with rare sales (except for occasional sales of strong single word names). With that said, .CO is already a big financial success as far as registry and registrars income is ...
Learn How Many are Searching for Your Domain
If you have your domain names registered at Godaddy.com you have the unique ability to discover exactly how many people are looking up your Whois information on the Godaddy site. This is very cool. I am starting to think it may even be worthwhile to use Godaddy more simply to take advantage of this powerful feature. Knowing how many people looked up your Whois information can have major benefits, not the least of which is it can indicate how many possible buyers you might have and you can rank your domains in value based on the number of Whois searches performed. ...
Paris Hilton is on new Drooping Eye website
Some celebrities have drooping eye condition like the best known celebity with drooping eye, Paris Hilton, for example. It has been said that Paris Hilton's eye drooping was a side-effect caused by botched eyelid cosmetic surgery. A drooping eyelid can stay about the same, become worse over time, or come and go in severity. It can be on one-side, or effecting both the eyes. When drooping is one-sided it's easy to detect by comparing it to the non-drooping eye. Drooping eye is harder to to detect when both eyes are drooping, or if there's only a small eye droop. A drooping ...
Importance of Owning Your Desired Domain
Domain names are extremely popular as far as owning a website with that name, and its potential use as a business presence, marketing venue, e-commerce site, blog, email address and for information and product marketing. Obviously, there is only one exact name which is truly your most desired domain name available or for-sale, making it unique. You probably realize the high value of owning a good domain and you surely don't want someone else using "your desired domain name" and getting visitors looking for the domain keywords, the exact search term, or its URL, which visitors could have gone to ...

Why Does Bing Make it Difficult to Submit a Site?
If you own or run a website you realize the high value of getting your site listed well in the major search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo! Often you simply wait for the search engine to find your site which they normally will do from following links and other ways to find and index your website. That passive approach usually will be adequate in most cases but it's not assured and sometimes your site may not get indexed as fast as desired. However, it's not necessary to wait since you can be more aggressive by submitting your site directly ...
The Saga of Nonsensical Traffic Quality Scores
One of the causes of the big PPC revenue declines appears to be Bing.com with their nonsensical TQ scores, i.e, my Parked.com/Bing TQ score recently fell off the cliff going from an 8 to 1 in a week even though traffic and domains stayed basically the same. My TQ scores have most aways been much better than a very poor 1 and in fact for a while under Yahoo last year TQ hovered at the 9/10 level for some time but now (a few eeks ago) the names and traffic are basically the same but we are at an impossible ...
Many Famous Men Are 33rd Degree Freemasons
Been researching Freemasonry lately. One of the most interesting things about becoming a free mason is freemasons saying "a man should never enter freemason fraternity in anticipation of making business connections or for any other sort of professional or monetary gain. If he does, he will be badly disappointed. Instead, he will find a group of like-minded men, who are willing to treat him as a brother and share in a deep and rewarding fellowship with him. He will find true friends and life-long companions. We expect men who petition for freemason membership to be good but not necessarily perfect ...
Phone Calls can be an Affiliate Program Negative
For some odd reason the potential phone call which in all likelihood can end-up losing your affiliate referral revenue has rarely been talked about in the past. Not sure why since it's believed to be a big negative. I believe a good percentage of potential buyers will pick up the phone and call the sellers toll-free number for more information and when they do that your chance of getting credit for the sale becomes very low. That is especially true with higher priced products and services, where the prospective buyer is much more inclined to call before spending significant money. ...
Wait 10-Minutes After a Meal to Avoid Seconds
If you want seconds after a meal but are not sure if you should take any, wait about 10-minutes. After this time, see if you are still hungry. Most likely you will feel full and will not want seconds. This is because your brain has had time to tell your body that you are full and that you should stop eating. It is also a good idea not to force yourself to eat everything on your plate. You can eat a good portion of the meal and save the rest for later. This is better than stuffing your body full of ...
Website Links/Ads Don’t Give Court Jurisdiction
A recent decision by United States District Court in Missouri clarified an important distinction regarding jurisdictional issues within internet law about intrenet law jurisdictional issues. The Federal Court entered judgment in favor of the defendant, a Costa Rican software company, finding no personal jurisdiction. The Federal Court decision hinged upon the nature of the software company’s hyperlinks on its website. The District Court held the defendants website, which was passive, but linked to inter-active sites, did not provide the requisite minimum contacts to satisfy personal jurisdiction because the company did not control the target sites. In the USA, for a court ...
Naturopathic Medicine About Body’s Healing Ability
We have just developed a new (small) website regarding Naturopathic Medical School and natural medicine, alternative medicine source regarding natural healing resources and the body's amazing ability to heal itself. The philosophical and methodological basis of naturopathy medicine principles are sometimes in somewhat of a conflict with traditional medicine, many traditional doctor's and medical viewpoints. For example, many naturopathic practitioners are non-vaccine and non-prescription drug based believers, a result of the natural healing philosophy, which shaped the profession from its beginnings.
Negativity by Paying Domain Broker Upfront Money
Sometimes domain name and website owners may wish to hire a domain brokerage to sell their names or websites. I can give you some good advice (gained via my personal hands-on experience) about that, including a warning about paying any upfront fees to the broker. Keep in mind, once the domain-broker has your money a good degree of the incentive to work hard and sell your domain or website may be lost since the broker already has his/her money, regardless of the name selling or not selling. One more potential negative occurrence is the once friendly relationship you had with ...
DomainKing About Best & Worst Name Extension
Just read a really interesting interview with Domain King Rick Schwartz on the Frager Factor blog, in which Rick was very candid and offered great advice. as always. For example, in the interview, Rick said: “.net is the worst extension on the planet. It’s an orphan……. I think .org is the number 2 extension (behind .com) in the universe…….. and it has its own identity.” We could not agree more with Rick’s remarks about .com (#1 of course by far in most categories) and .org (by far #2 overall), with .org sometimes as good or even better vs .com, at least ...

What This Site is About: The Categories & Subjects
Some of our site visitors may be wondering or asking what this website is about? We try to cover as many categories as possible instead of concentrating on just one subject as many blogs often do. Even though the categories we write about and cover are very broad we still manage to keep it within our own experience and knowledge base too. At this time, there may not necessarily be targeted articles or comments about some of these subjects found within this blog, but with that said, we do run a diverse number of websites which are highly targeted to every ...
Family Financial Expert & Personal Finance Advisor
What with the very tough economy and hard times so many are enduring there is a greater need for a family financial expert to help your family finances. Personal financial solutions need to be easily implemented, free and also simple. Falling into debt is something most of us manage to do very well. In fact, we are experts at it, especially in the past when consumer credit and stated income or no-doc mortgage loans were readily available. The fact is the major credit card companies, mortgage lenders and banks have become real leery of extending credit over the past few ...
Large Stock Brokers Now Offering Futures Trading
Within the past 10-years of so retail traders and investors began to trade options using trading tools from large online stock brokers. That trend is well established. More recently, several mostly small stock brokers started to offer their stock market clients the opportunity to also trade commodity futures and forex trading to individual investors. Now according to recent estimations nearly one-half of the stock brokerage online brokers also allow their stock market accounts to trade futures markets or forex. Now some of the larger brokerage firms and big international banks such as Deutsche Bank and others have also recently launched ...
How Erica Became Millioniare & Retired at age 26
For several years we had our web-hosting with Erica Douglass at her old hosting firm. We were one of her first hosting customers. After she sold the hosting business (for I believe over a million dollars) we moved on to a new webhost and later learned Erica started a consulting business at a new website erica.biz. We normally do not promote other websites here but since we feel Erica has lots of knowledge on making online-money we are posting a few YouTube videos she has made about achieving online success. Erica Douglass of erica.biz talks about how she became a millioniare ...
Your Own Advertising Network & Keep All Income
Of course, we badly need good alternatives to Google® and Yahoo!® with the best and possibly the only viable option at this time being selling ad space yourself via your our own in-house Advertising Network. A major benefit from running your own advertising network is you keep 100% of the revenue. Frank Schilling had a very nice Advertising Network of his own running on his domain names but I believe it was deactivated last year for some odd reason. I can only guess as to why. We would like to install an ad network almost exactly the way Frank's network worked on ...
Domain Inquiry Sounds Better vs Domain For Sale
There has been talk on the forum boards about the best way to place a notice on your website that your domain name is for sale. Fabulous.com does a good job combining PPC ads with a domain for sale announcement page and developed a type of hybrid between a parked page and a sales page. With that said, 'This Domain Name is For Sale' notice does a fairly good job of getting people to make offers, but there appears to be a better way. That Fabulous page is a good approach but I would like it even more if the banner ...
Follow Me on Twitter can have Interesting Benefits
Unfortunately, I was a late-starter with twitter.com since I did not really start using it until earlier this year, and even more recently started doing more than occasional tweets. In the past I did not fully realize the great power and potential of Twitter. Twitter is also an extremely interesting way to get some free publicity for your websites or web-pages, in addition to its main purpose which I think (but not positive) is simply talking about news events, or saying what you are doing today, or what you have done lately. Some recently discovered hands-on marketing advice I can give ...
Catch a Trending Market with Charts & W D Gann
This commodity futures trading methodology originates with the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) based school of commodities and stock market trading systems. It's designed for part-time traders who have no time or inclination to always monitor the markets and closely watch their charts and quotes all day. Most all commodity and stock market trading systems are trend following in one way or the other. However, the trend length may be long-term or short-term. My intention here is to locate commodities and stock market trading system's to catch the longer swings, and filter out as many go nowhere whip-saws as possible, plus ...

Easily Bruised Skin Causes & Treatment Options
Skin changes and bruising are among the most visible signs of aging. Other evidence of increasing age includes face sagging skin and unwanted (especially by women) easily noticeable dark skin spots and facial wrinkles. Skin changes over the years are closely related to genetics, environment, nutrition and other factors. The most significant factor for skin damage and easy bruising is sun exposure (with aspirin and blood thinners also being major contributing factors). This can be seen by comparing areas of your body that have regular sun exposure with areas that are protected from sunlight. Natural pigments provide some protection against ...

About Green Couches & Ancient Sea Creatures
There are a couple things we have been wondering about regarding both ancient sea creatures and green couches so I posted this on a third partiy site but it was immediatey automatically rejected by the blog as being spam (which it is not) so am posting it here since some readers may find it interesting. Since at the time we were in the process of purchasing the domain name GreenCouches.com we were doing research about green couches so this was mainly about "Green Couches" which were discussed on that web site. We asked if the term green couches refers to ...
Dallas Cowboys Alleged Domain Price Stupidity
Part of the problem with domain name disputes and domain complaints is the fact so many companies are unwilling to spend a fair amount of money buying already registered domains to protect their valuable brands. A more or less perfect example is how the Dallas Cowboys representatives made a bid of only $275 (really $275 and not a misprint) for the great Cowboys.com domain name at an auction when other auction bids were in the general area of 200k or higher. However, strangely the Cowboys allegedly grossly misunderstood the auction price level (in spite of the fact a series of auction ...
Are Yahoo Traffic Quality Scores Nonsensical?
Yahoo! is a major advertising feed provider for a few well known domain name parking firms. Domains which are not active websites are usually parked so the domain-name owner gets an opportunity to earn revenue from pay-per-click ads which appear on the pages which are parked. One of the larger and best domain parking firms is Parked.com, who reports by way of a graphical line chart viewable on the clients dashboard page showing their web-page visitor traffic quality scoring. Even since the Yahoo feed traffic scores were openly disclosed we have always thought the scores made little sense and seemed nonsensical since ...
New Oxygen Therapy For Migraine Headaches
Headaches are common for most all of us but migraines and cluster headaches are a serious medical condition. It's difficult for doctors to help with migraine headache relief except for a few prescription drugs and injections with the drug sumatriptan, but frequent use of the drugs are not recommended because of potential serious drug side-effects. Medical researchers have discovered oxygen appears to be an effective treatment for serious headaches. People with cluster headaches can have as many as eight headaches per day, with the ongoing headache bouts lasting for weeks at a time, or even months. Oxygen can be ...

101-years ago a Trader Showed His Greatness
The best stocks and commodities trader of all-time was without a doubt Mr. W.D. Gann, who certainly had the most interesting and mystical trading method too. This was reported about Mr Gann by the Ticker Magazine more than 100-years ago in the year 1909. During the summer of 1909 Willima D. Gann predicted the September Wheat contract trading on the Chicago Board of Trade would sell at a price of $1.20. This meant t it must touch $1.20 price before the end of the month of September. At 12:00 Chicago time, on September 30th (the last day) Sept Wheat futures ...

Commodities Futures – Selecting A Broker
Commodities Futures can be a very rewarding investment and venture, but selecting the right broker is going to be a very critical aspect. By default, the commodity broker more than likely will be working for a firm, so you should ensure that you do the necessary research on the brokerage firm in advance before making a selection of which firm to work with. To do this you can review the National Futures Association to get some background information ...

I noticed a number of incidents of flawed or screwed-up reporting on the TV news shows lately. Below are two stupid reporting examples from today’s NBC News Today Show. At 7:15 am Dec 31 Andrea Canning reported about the viral video of the man who fell through the thin ice that a dozen good-samaritans went in the water to help rescue the man.... I’ve been watching lots of 1970’s TV lately. My kids really dig those easy-to-follow storylines and I love the trip down memory lane. What’s most interesting from a grown-up’s perspective is how the value of money has changed over the passage of time. A million used to be a big number in the days when Jonathan Hart flew his Gulfstream II to... [Read more of this review]

Hi all, Some of you may or may not be aware that for the last 10 days my blog, Whizzbangsblog.com, has been down due to a consistent DDOS attack. The reason for the attack was directly due to my articles on people that are committing fraud in the domain industry by pumping bad traffic through domains, purchasing parking accounts and stealing good domain... Written by Frank Schilling There is something about the end of summer that feels so very similar every year. The end of summer, of fun and frivolity always comes at the same time and echoes, like the lyrics from a Don Henley song. Aptly named “Labor Day” is like a starter’s pistol at a collective social race that has been programmed to begin through... [Read more of this review]
Over a year ago we decided to let expire more than 50 mostly bad or dubious value letter dot-us names that we had been holding since as long as the year 2002 when most of them were acquired. We dropped them due to no traffic or income, plus poor acronym use potential. It has been quite interesting watching the majority if not all of that group sold,... [Read more of this review]
A question we have always wondered about is why at Flippa.com it seems buyers place great value on website traffic and revenue stats, with little if any intrinsic value for the domain-name itself? However, with the just announced big sale by Rick Schwartz (DomainKing) for 4 million dollars plus stock for the two domains property.com and properties.com,... [Read more of this review]
Since the start of the major decline in parking page revenue over the past 4 years or so there have been several examples of poor performance from some major players. However, the current performance of a relatively obscure provider with a big company behind them is almost impossible to believe the stats could be true! For example, look at the stats... Based on my own Tweeting I have discovered we usually get from 5 to 15 visits going to the link in my Tweets, within 15-minutes of the Tweet time, based on having just a little over 1,000 followers. Isn’t that an incredible... [Read more of this review]
This is regarding anchor text in a link and is also applicable to websites which sell links. As far as domain revenue... [Read more of this review]
